Editorial policy

Checked 2026-10-23.

I would rather ship a short page with a source than a long page with a guessed list. That is the rule.

  • Scoring, timers, and prices come from the game's own how-to or privacy page, with the URL on the page.
  • Historical .org excerpts come from the public archive. Current-day accepted examples are a small selection checked against public category data, with source links; they are not final crowd results.
  • .com prompts come from the public homepage schedule; mode assignments are checked against its mission selector. Limited accepted examples come from public game data, not a claimed personal play log.
  • Checked dates describe source verification. Archive data is changed only when substantive source content changes; a routine recheck alone does not advance its modification date.
  • Target Orbit and The Ladder calls differ by player. A single "correct word" would be false, so we do not print one.
  • We keep screenshot evidence in our research files, not in the public site. We link to the creator’s clip instead of copying a video poster or embedding the player. Answer excerpts are limited, not a copied answer bank.
  • Both games select their daily puzzle at device-local midnight. Our guide uses Asia/Singapore and also labels the US Eastern date; always match your game’s date and category.

The daily script refreshes published .org archive excerpts and observed .com prompts. A new current-day answer sample needs source verification; if no fresh sample is available the page labels the earlier snapshot instead of pretending it is today. Corrections from readers go through [email protected].

Questions people ask

Do you invent a Blue Moon word?

No. Accepted examples must match public game data. We never turn a plausible guess into a verified Blue Moon answer.

How fast is a correction?

Send the URL to [email protected]. The page date changes when the sentence changes.
