How to play Moonshot Daily on .com and on .org

Checked 2026-10-23.

Both game-owned how-to pages were checked on 23 October 2026. This guide reports their rules; it is not a scored playthrough. The shared idea is a timed naming game that turns points into a flight. The timers, the rarity names, and the daily structure are not shared.

.org in one pass

Flight 1 is Hive Mind (3 answers, 20 seconds, common words, first place 100) and Lone Star (3 answers, 35 seconds, rare words). Lone Star orbits: Low 10, High 25, Deep Space 45, Outer Rim 65, Uncharted 85, Supernova 110. Five Supernova words are hidden in each category. Flight 2 is Target Orbit: 4 calls, 100 / 50 / 20 for a direct hit, one rung off, or two rungs off. Calls differ by player.

Speed: full points in the first 6 seconds on Hive Mind and the first 10 on Lone Star and Target Orbit, down to 60% on the last second. A boost of ×1.3 follows a Hive Mind top 3, a Lone Star Uncharted or Supernova, or a Target Orbit bullseye. Detail pages: Hive Mind and Lone Star, Target Orbit, Home Turf.

.com in one pass

Common vs Blue Moon: 2 categories, 12 answers, about 3 minutes. Common round is 15 seconds, rare round is 30 seconds. Tiers: Common 5, Uncommon 20, Rare 40, Legendary 60, Mythic 80, Blue Moon 100. The Ladder: 1 category, 4 spins, 30 seconds each, 100 / 40 / 15. Combo ×1.5 follows a top-three, a Ladder bullseye, a Mythic, or a Blue Moon. See Common vs Blue Moon and The Ladder.

Both games select their daily categories at midnight in the device's local time zone. Streaks: .org continues when you finish a daily flight, with one shield per any 7 days. .com continues when you finish at least one mission, and the rocket upgrades every 5 days from Mk I Sparrow to Mk VI Blue Moon. Today's prompts and finished answers are on Answers.

Questions people ask

Both how-to pages say a miss does not subtract points. You can keep trying until the timer ends.

Is the scoring the same?

No. .org uses orbits from Low Orbit to Supernova. .com uses Common through Blue Moon, plus a separate Ladder.
